Call for Papers

Noise, Vibration and Comfort is a biennial conference organised by the Society of Vibration and Acoustics Malaysia, bringing together researchers, scientists and industrial practitioners for sharing and propagating knowledge in areas related to Vibration and Acoustics.

All accepted papers will be published in the Scopus indexed conference proceeding or SVAM Journal of Acoustics and Vibration. Selected papers will be recommended for journal publication.

their presentation is included in the final program.

Ir Faizul Azly

With over 27 years of continuous experience in stress analytics, piping vibration, FEA, FFS Level 3 and FSI Engineering, Ir. Faizul Azly Abd Dzubir has built a distinguished career across the oil and gas sectors in the US, UK, France, Norway and Malaysia. Currently working as Custodian at PETRONAS Group Technical Solutions (PGTS), he leads the stress analytics team of PETRONAS. He is also a passionate trainer, mentoring external as well as internal engineers in Caesar II, FEPipe, and ABAQUS. A registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, he is the inventor of two patents for PETRONAS—ADaPT technology and the PETRONAS Vibration Clamp. He actively contributes to global standards as a committee member of Process Piping, ASME B31.3 and the Guidelines for the Avoidance of Vibration Induced Fatigue Failure in Process Pipework, Energy Institute UK.

Ir. Ts. Dr. Rohaizat Bin Omar

Senior Director, Smart Manufacturing Centre, SIRIM Industrial Research

Ir. Ts. Dr. Rohaizat Omar joined SIRIM Berhad in 2002 and is experienced in machine and system design and development, engineering analysis & simulation, technology dissemination and technical assessment. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2023, He is a certified Professional Engineer with a Practising Certificate by the Board of Engineers Malaysia and a Professional Technologist by the Malaysia Board of Technologists.
Ir. Ts. Dr. Rohaizat Omar menyertai SIRIM Berhad pada tahun 2002 dan berpengalaman dalam reka bentuk dan pembangunan mesin dan sistem, analisa & simulasi kejuruteraan, penyebaran teknologi dan penilaian teknikal. Beliau memperoleh PhD dalam Kejuruteraan Mekanikal dari Universiti Teknologi MARA pada tahun 2023, Beliau adalah Jurutera Profesional dengan Perakuan Amalan yang diiktiraf oleh Lembaga Jurutera Malaysia dan Ahli Teknologi Profesional oleh Lembaga Teknologis Malaysia.
He is actively involved in precision machine development, vibration analysis and finite element model updating. He has published articles in indexed journals and conference proceedings. He has experience leading research projects funded by MOSTI and has won several innovation awards. Dr. Rohaizat is heading the Smart Manufacturing Centre of SIRIM Industrial Research, which covers manufacturing technology focus areas ranging from precision and reverse engineering to advanced automation and intelligent systems.
Beliau terlibat secara aktif dalam pembangunan mesin persis, analisa getaran dan finite element model updating. Beliau telah menerbitkan artikel dalam jurnal berindeks dan prosiding persidangan. Beliau mempunyai pengalaman dalam menerajui projek penyelidikan yang dibiayai oleh MOSTI dan telah memenangi beberapa anugerah inovasi. Pada masa ini, Dr. Rohaizat mengetuai Pusat Pembuatan Pintar, Penyelidikan Perindustrian SIRIM, yang meliputi bidang tumpuan teknologi pembuatan daripada kejuruteraan persis dan reverse engineering kepada automasi termaju dan sistem pintar.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Andreas Kyprianou

University of Cyprus

Andreas Kyprianou is an accomplished academic and researcher in mechanical engineering, specializing in structural dynamics, signal processing, and smart system diagnostics. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Cyprus, where he has held positions since 2003. His expertise spans nonlinear vibrations, partial discharge detection, and degradation assessment in photovoltaic systems. His research contributions include over 50 journal publications and numerous conference papers, particularly in energy systems, structural health monitoring, and nanotechnology applications. He has supervised several postgraduate theses and has led and collaborated on projects funded by national and international bodies. Dr. Kyprianou has also served as a reviewer for leading journals and has experience in laboratory development and academic administration, including Erasmus coordination. His teaching portfolio covers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in vibrations, acoustics, nanoscale thermodynamics, and mechanical design. He is recognized for integrating theoretical knowledge with practical engineering applications.
